A lot of girl in a tiny body, Leiko manages to be simultaneously easy to miss, yet constantly demanding attention. Often heard long before she is spotted, Leiko has a particularly loud, shrill voice, and she talks in a way that seems more “barked” than “spoken”. Standing at a mere 4’10, she packs a lot of energy within her small, curveless frame. Her childlike face and body seem to defy her estimated age, with narrow brown eyes often wide with curiosity, round cheeks, and a snub nose. EVE’s nurses have apparently resigned to letting her dress herself, and as a result, resulting in her typically wearing a blinding mismatch of colorful items. Fortunately, they do enforce certain hygienic standards, so her gold-tinted skin is kept clean, and her straight black hair is washed and trimmed… most of the time. In truth, Leiko’s level of presentability depends on whether EVE’s staff put in the effort to catch her. She may not be very strong, but she is extremely quick and a talented climber, making her a challenge to restrain once she takes off.

Out of all of the colorful words Leiko has heard in describing her behavior, her favorite would have to be "chutzpah," since not only does she have it in spades, but you're forced to spit at someone when you say it.

Nothing in this world can seem to keep Leiko down. Often excited and always curious, she has a stubbornly cheerful temperament. It takes a special kind of effort to anger or upset her, and even then it can be nearly impossible to make her show it. Her inner motor's comparable to that of the Energizer bunny: she almost never seems tired, and rarely ever sleeps. Not that she minds, of course. Why sleep when there's so much fun to be had?

Leiko does have an odd sort of method to her madness: Some idea pops in her head. "Wouldn't it be awesome/hilarious/sexy if ___?" Whereas most people would simply chuckle to themselves and be content to leave it within the realm of mental imagery, Leiko becomes determined to carry out these fantasies. Screw the consequences, she'll carry out these plans with extreme confidence and equal recklessness.

A naturally rebellious streak combined with a more slapstick sense of humor manifests into an unfortunate drive to constantly annoy others. She acts out constantly, whether for attention or mere entertainment, and often considers her ideas for mischief as challenges that absolutely must be carried out. The feelings and opinions of others pass directly from one ear through the other, as not only is she usually distracted, but naturally self-absorbed and unreliable. To some credit, she does recognize this flaky nature, and thus makes no promises to begin with, leaving anyone who counts on her with only themselves to blame.

If one were forced to be polite, one might be able to find a certain charm in Leiko’s behavior. Although she is uneducated and almost never interested in intellectual pursuits, she is surprisingly ingenious, quick to figure things out just from observation and experimentation. Unfortunately, this love of experimentation only fuels her need to constantly test boundaries.

Leiko certainly likes to talk, although there may be some debate as to whether she’s genuinely friendly or just plain loud. Certainly, she is opinionated and outspoken, although these opinions are often less-than-politically-correct or mean-spirited. While she may seem unreserved, she does have a bad habit of simply talking around anything she doesn’t want to discuss, answering with cryptic statements at most. She does have a talent for making others laugh, whether intentionally or otherwise, and is occasionally willing to help other people, should she receive proper recognition for what she’s done. Should she ever shut her own mouth, she may even prove willing to listen to others, and perhaps demonstrate a minute glimmer of empathy… followed by a teasing insult, but the thought still counts.

What could have spawned such a manifestation of chaos? Well, if you're able to figure it out, there are probably plenty of doctors who would like to hear. Her record is spottier than a mad lib, and how Leiko chooses to fill in those blanks changes wildly every time she's spoken to.

To begin with, there are no parents that Leiko speaks of. Surely, she couldn't have just appeared out of nowhere, but that's the way she seems intent on telling it. Of course, by her story, she was also living in an abandoned, trash-filled Eden City apartment for all time. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. That art Leiko.

...except for the fact that at some point she was taken to EVE, removed from her apartment like unwanted vermin. The story is she put up quite a fight too, and within the first week of residence made 9 separate escape attempts. None of them worked, obviously. For some time, EVE staff supposedly tried sending out information on Leiko to various police forces to see if she matched any child disappearances, but so far no luck has been had. In the meantime, Leiko has made herself quite comfortable in EVE, to the point where it cannot be clear if she intends to ever leave.
