"The truth is EVE is crazy. It's an Asylum so I don't expect it to be full of sane, sound, logical people but at the same time I do wonder about the state of mind of the staff. They're not exactly right in the head either. I'm sure some of them are top notched and I'm almost certain that they think that EVE is doing what it's supposed to do. It's an old institution that is revered in the community and all over the world. They accept some of the most violent patients as well as some of the most peaceful. I used to think it was strange that there would be cases of people who were sent from court to avoid prison time and then cases where families wanted their relatives to be in a place that would sooth their mind. Both choose EVE. The patients alone range from all ends of the insane spectrum. My main issue I suppose is that some of the doctors don't give a shit. And some care too much. Patients have died here. There's been charges of abuse and assault, and all these cases were dropped. I have a feeling people are too scared to report what happens in EVE but at the same time I don't want to call it Evil. Could a place that relieves society by accepting so many disturbed people truly be evil? I've been to the institute and I know people who have family members here. No one complains. I still get this funny feeling everytime I think of the asylum. I dunno what to think. Does that make me crazy?" ~ visiting physician
